About
The person behind the strategy.
I'm Jonathan, an operational strategist, builder, and founder based in Apex, North Carolina. I hold an MBA in Business Analytics from East Carolina University and a BS in Athletic Training from UNC Charlotte. The career path isn't conventional, and I think that's actually one of its strengths. I've been solving structural problems in organizations since I was 22, just in very different contexts and industries.
Outside of my work leading operations at RoleModel Software, I'm the founder and co-owner of two companies. Freedom Strategies LLC is a wealth-management consultancy, and R1026 LLP is an education consultancy. Running these ventures alongside my primary role gives me a founder's perspective on every strategic decision I make, because I've lived the consequences of those decisions with my own capital and my own name on the line.
I believe deeply in stewardship of resources, of people, and of opportunity. My work is driven by a conviction that thoughtful operational infrastructure creates freedom. Freedom to focus on what matters, freedom to grow without chaos, and freedom to invest energy in the things that actually move the mission forward.

Fifteen years of the same instinct in different contexts.
Every chapter of my career has followed the same arc. Walk into a situation where something important is under-built or missing entirely. Figure out what the organization actually needs. Build the infrastructure to make it work. Leave behind something durable that continues to serve long after I've moved on.
2021 to present
RoleModel Software
Business Administration Manager, then Operations Director
I joined a growing 50-person software company that had real talent and strong client relationships, but lacked the operational infrastructure to support where it was headed. There were no formal budgets, no systematized financial reporting, and most operational processes were manual and person-dependent. I built the case for investing in automated infrastructure ahead of the company's growth, earned buy-in from the CEO, COO, and CPO, and systematically built every core operational system the company runs on today.
- Company doubled in size without adding operational headcount
- $4M+ annual budget with full operational profit and loss ownership
- Engagements scaled from roughly 12 to over 50 at 18 to 30 percent net margins
- Promoted to Operations Director based on strategic impact
2018 to 2021
Cornerstone Fellowship Church
Facilities Manager, part-time while completing MBA
While completing my MBA in Business Analytics, I managed facilities for Cornerstone Fellowship Church part time, overseeing a 22,000 square foot building and 5.71 acres of grounds.
- Oversaw a 22,000 square foot facility and 5.71 acres of grounds
2014 to 2018
Ada Marketing Co.
Fulfillment Center Manager, then Customer Relations Manager
I came into a company that was growing quickly but hadn't built the processes to sustain that growth. Fulfillment was handling around 10 to 12 orders a day with no standard procedures, no tracking, and a single channel for customer communication. I built the SOPs, the vendor management systems, and the multi-channel customer support infrastructure that allowed the business to scale its daily throughput while reducing the cost of errors.
- Fulfillment scaled from 10 to 12 orders per day to over 100
- Implemented a CRM and expanded customer channels
- Customer damage costs reduced by 20 percent
2009 to 2014
Harnett County Schools
Head Athletic Trainer
I inherited a neglected athletic training program that was operating out of a 120 square foot closet with a single treatment table and one modality. There were no documentation standards, no budget, no medical team, and no real plan to improve any of it. I built the entire operation from the ground up: the facility, the county-wide treatment and documentation standards, the medical team, and the funding model to sustain all of it across four high schools.
- Grew the facility from 120 square feet to a 1,000 square foot treatment center
- Expanded treatment modalities from 1 to 8 with a full rehab area
- Secured the program's first annual county budget across all 4 high schools
